The symptoms include: Flu-like, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, agitation, abnormal behavior, paranoia, terror, and hallucinations.
There is no treatment for rabies that can cure the disease once symptoms appear. Any treatment at that point involves managing symptoms and making the person comfortable. Death is almost certain once the rabies symptoms begin.

Lifecycle: Rabies viruses move from the site of entry, such as through a wound, and are transported along nerve fibres towards the spinal cord and ultimately the brain, where the virus undergoes replication.
Likelihood: In both countries it is likely to get rabies, but in Nigeria it is more likely because of the bat population in Nigeria that carry the disease.
