    Malaria
    Causative agent is Plasmodia
Type of causative agent is a Parasite
Sypmtoms: Fever, shivering, joint pain, vomiting, anemia, retinal damage, and convulsions.
Treatment: (depending on the severity) Low: Oral drugs, High: Parenteral administration of antimalarial drugs
Prevention include: prophylactic drugs, mosquito eradication and the prevention of mosquito bites.
Lifecycle: Female mosquitos of the Anopheles genus are secondary hosts and transmission vectors. A mosquito becomes infected when it takes a blood meal from an infected human. A transmission occurs referred to as anterior station transfer, then when the bite happens the mosquito injects sporozoites into the human.
Likelihood: Way more likely to get Malaria in Nigeria than in the US.

    Rabies
The name of the causaation agent is Zoonotic.
The type of causative agent is a virus
The symptoms include: Flu-like, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, agitation, abnormal behavior, paranoia, terror, and hallucinations.
There is no treatment for rabies that can cure the disease once symptoms appear. Any treatment at that point involves managing symptoms and making the person comfortable. Death is almost certain once the rabies symptoms begin.
    Prevention include(s): vaccinations, and immunoglobulin
Lifecycle: Rabies viruses move from the site of entry, such as through a wound, and are transported along nerve fibres towards the spinal cord and ultimately the brain, where the virus undergoes replication.
Likelihood: In both countries it is likely to get rabies, but in Nigeria it is more likely because of the bat population in Nigeria that carry the disease.

    Typhoid Fever
Causative agent: Feces of an infected person or salmonella enterica enterica
    Type of causative agent: Bacteria
Symptoms include:First week- Fever, profuse sweating, a rash of flat, rose colored dots on skin, nose bleeds, abdomonal pain, headache and cough. Second week- High fever, delirium, Diarrhea. Third week- Intestinal hemorrhage, Intestinal perforation, neuropsychiatric symptoms.
Treatment include: many different antibiotics or oral rehydration therapy.
Prevention: Sanitation and hygiene are the critical measures that can be taken to prevent typhoid. Careful food preparation and washing of hands are crucial to preventing typhoid.
Lifecylce: No vectors, The mode of transmission is human to human because animals cant get Typhoid fever.
More likely to get Typhoid fever in Nigeria than in the US because of the unsanitary conditions, but still both countries have cases.

    Schistosomiasis
Name of causative agent is Tremotodes, a parasitic worm of the genus schistosoma
The type of causative agent is Parasite
Symptoms include: Abdominal pain, cough, diarrhea, fever, fatigue
Treatment include: Schistosomiasis is readily treated using a single oral dose of the drug praziquantel annually. There is still being research done on finding a vaccine.
Prevention: Prevention is best accomplished by eliminating the water-dwelling snails that are the natural reservoir of the disease.
Lifecycle: Schistosomes have a typical trematode vertebrate-invertebrate lifecycle, with humans being the definitive host.
Likelihood: A person living in Nigeria have a better chance of getting the parasite than people in the US.
